This book contains the research component of the Blackwater Canyon National Park Visitor Center. The book begins the exploration of the relationship between landscape and architecture through its own design. The individual book chapters, project introduction, precedent analysis, spatial analysis, and site analysis, are each begun with a quote and image separated by a frame page which accentuates specific points in the picture and then surrounds the quote. The book is handsewn and covered in a soft, fabriclike paper so that it is sensitive to the emotional connection with the landscape.
